These are not flimsy cards, the cardstock is very thick and sturdy and the foil pressed feature just adds that special touch. Then we add our own personal touch with some family photos and a message about what our year has been like to catch up our friends and family that we don't get to see as often as we'd like. Below you can see the inside of the card and then the special photo on the back of the card too.
While you can't read the message (sorry it was just for friends and family), you can see where we had a personalized message. I love that I don't have to handwrite anything, save me time, my hand and sparing everyone from my messy writing.
The back of the card we put a photo of our new puppy (from this past summer) Apollo for friends and family who have not yet met him. It's one way we spread our family news and joy.
This year I also decided to do something a little different and selected and created some keepsake gifts for my family and I to treasure. My daughter was asked to do a photoshoot for her upcoming grad year and because we were able to sneak in some family photos too. Something we haven't had done since our daughter was a baby. I loved the photos so much I wanted to frame them but hadn't yet had time to go and find frames, print the photos, then put them in the frames etc.. Well Minted does all of it for us!
I selected Modern and Minimal Custom Photo Art with a distressed charcoal wood frame, added my photos online, text and they did the rest. Keep in mind the photos are not printed on photo paper the art print is printed on archival matte paper. I thought this was a unique touch and I think they look superb. The photos are clear, crisp and vibrant as you can see below. 
Keep in mind my photos of these framed photos don't do it justice, plus we've got the plexi glass on top with some reflection. I love that it's a professionally fitted frame and pre-installed hanging hardware. We'll be hanging them up after Christmas as it's a surprise for my husband and daughter who have not yet seen these frames. 
I love the matte archival paper instead of regular glossy or even matte photo paper, it just seems to add a special touch and it goes perfectly with the frame. These will look spectacular on our light grey walls. 
These are some keepsake gifts that I know we will treasure forever and they will bring back memories of the milestone for our daughter and the fun we had together doing the photoshoot. I love all the photos and the picture frames, I didn't get to have this this year, everyone was so busy we all forgot to take pictures, so crazy but I know its so important.
