Do you want to go raw with Instinct Raw® dog food? #InstinctRaw
Raw foods are everyone for people and pets in the grocery stores, specialty stores and now of course pet stores. So why should you go raw for your pets? What are the benefits and where do you start? Well like with anything you need to do some research and have a plan in place. I've been hearing great things about raw food diets for people and when I heard about Instinct Raw dog food and cat food I thought to myself it's worth checking out!

Why did we decide to have our dogs try raw dog food?
There are a few reasons but the main ones are we only want the best for Little Zeus (LZ) and Luna and they both have sensitivities. We’ve learned over the years that the low quality foods and certain ingredients caused them issues. They both would have itchy skin and Luna had stomach issues with some foods.
Here is our LZ eating his Instinct Raw. Remember that while it's incredibly good for them it's always best with any food to transition them in to it. We still also mix the Instinct Raw with a very high quality dry food or we give them some dry food separately. They like the crunchy dry food (which is a different brand) so we still keep it as part of their diet.
To get tips on how to transition to raw dog food you can get some info from the Instinct Raw site HERE. We started LZ first on the raw food as he’s a little guy, needs the “meat” on him and he is pickier than Luna when it comes to what food he will eat. We thought if he likes it then Luna will love it. Well as you can see he loves his Instinct Raw dog food.
Instinct Raw is easy to serve
You just scoop and serve the Instinct Raw, no thawing is necessary and apparently our LZ didn't need it thawed, he just ate it right away. As I said though we do mix it with high quality dry food too.
Since LZ liked the Instinct Raw dog food so much we just this week started to let Luna try it. To say she inhaled it would be an understatement. It was gone in under a minute, good thing we just started her on a small portion as part of her transition LOL. For her it's more of a treat right now than a full meal.
Benefits of Feeding Raw
While we're at the early stages of the raw process I've heard nothing but good about raw food and that it can have some great benefits over the long term such as:
- Healthy skin and coat
- Optimal digestion
- Healthy teeth and gums
- Relief from food sensitivities *this one we can say yes for sure as our dogs are sensitive but they have no issues with raw dog food
- Ideal body weight

Achilles would definitely love this! Thanks for sharing!
My cousin strictly feeds her dogs a raw diet, she makes all of their food! They definitely have beautiful coats and they seem to be a great weight. I'll have to mention this to her next time we talk, might save her a bit of time and energy.
i would love to try this for my pets! one of them has food sensitivities.
Truffle liked it once I put it on my fingers and mashed it a little. Brulee says the jury is still out of whether she'll eat it.
