Delta Children's Minnie Mouse Plastic Twin Bed
Most people are surprised to hear that my 2.5 year old was still in her crib. She is a bit old, but she wasn’t trying to get out at all, so we figured we would have her stay in there until she does. I was recently asked to look at a Delta Children’s twin bed. My little one is obsessed with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, so I decided to go with their Minnie Mouse twin bed.
This review was brought to you by our team member Katrina! She received the mattress in exchange for her honest review.
When it comes to assembling things, I leave that up for my husband to do. The instructions were a little complicated so I’m glad he was doing it and not me. It took a little longer than I thought to put together the twin bed, but once he found his rhythm, it didn’t take too long after that. My oldest daughter and I did the stickers. Just a word of advice, when putting them on, put just a little piece and roll it on instead of taking the whole thing off the backing. It makes it easier to apply and you will have less bubbles.
The twin bed is made from both plastic and metal. It has guardrails, but if your little ones doesn’t need them, you can take them off. As far as dimensions are the bed is 28"W x 43.5"H x 80"L. If you are like me, those numbers really don’t mean a whole lot. I really like that the bed is low to the ground, more like a toddler bed. This way it’s easier for kids to get into, and if they do fall out it’s not very far, so they probably will not even get hurt.
The first night we used it, we found our daughter sleeping on the floor next to it. We realized that we hadn't put the guardrails on correctly. Since it was getting late, we just left the twin bed in the middle of the room until the next day when we could put it where we actually wanted it. Ever since then, it has not been a problem. I am very proud of her that she stays in her bed and goes right to sleep. I was pretty sure I was going to need to constantly tell her to get back into bed, but I haven’t had to one single time. So maybe it was the best to keep her in the crib a little longer.
For us, this is the perfect transition bed. To make the look complete, I got sheets, a new Minnie blanket and the Minnie decal that you see on her wall. The decals we had up before were falling off so it was a good time to replace it with something different.
So, if you are looking for a new bed for your child, I recommend you check out Delta Children and see if they or your little one would like.
What size of mattress did you get?
That's a cute bed. When my kids made the switch from crib to bed, I pushed one side up against the wall. That way you only need one safety rail.
It is a super cute bed & I can see how something like this would be great for young kids! It would certainly make it easier to get them to WANT to leave the crib for a big kid bed.
One lucky little girl! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
This is adorable I love the mini on the wall!
My 4-year-old granddaughter would love this entire room! That bed is so adorable!
