Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort
Wondering where to stay if you visit the Orlando area? Say hello to the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort
This summer we had an amazing family trip that ended with us visiting the Orlando area. This was our first visit back to Orlando in six years and we were quite excited to revisit some old favourites, visit some new places and create new family vacation memories. Our big question was where to stay. We decided on the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort.
Our criteria for hotel choices is that it can’t be outrageously expensive, has great amenities such as a pool, restaurant, nice rooms, preferably rooms with a view, stores and restaurants close by and easy access Disney World, airports and other attractions that we might be interested in visiting. Well we found all of that and more at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort who kindly hosted us for our four night stay. They have shuttles that run quite often to the different Disney World parks so you can leave the car behind and not worry about parking etc..
When we first walked into the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort the first thing my daughter said was wow this is a fancy hotel. Not two minutes later a little boy entered the lobby with his family and the words out of his mouth were oh mommy this is a super nice hotel. I had to chuckle but I couldn’t blame them as the lobby is quite lovely as you can see from the photo above.
The lobby has plenty of seating, they have the Eclipse Lounge which can provide cocktails and light snacks. It also has a big screen tv if you just can’t miss your favourite sports game. It’s a great place to relax after a busy day, as a meeting place and more.
In case you forgot or didn’t have time to pick up some Disney items like t-shirts and other memorabilia, there’s no need to worry the hotel has their own Disney store. My daughter forgot to bring all of her Disney pins so she picked up a few at the hotel’s Disney store, some to keep and some to trade.
Now my family knows that the one thing I need every morning is my coffee. Not just any coffee because of course, this is the one thing I’m picky about. I like either a latte, cappuccino or a mocha. Yes, I know spoiled but I make them myself at home, thus making me picky while travelling, so while the coffee in the room was fine, this mom needs her fancy coffee as my family says.
Thank goodness the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista has Joffrey’s, the place to get your specialty coffees, pastries and even some ice cream treats. Joffrey’s was the place in the morning let me tell you, there was always a line-up but thankfully they kept it moving.
There’s also a mini-market in case you don’t have a car or time to pick up water, milk or snacks. I always like it when a hotel has a market because sometimes it’s just not possible or you have no energy to go driving to a store. Wow, all this and that’s just all in the lobby area.
Our room was a nice size, lots of space to move around, a desk, comfy beds and oh what a view. We had an amazing view of the Disney Springs area and were welcomed with this sunset when we first arrived. There’s a fridge in the room which is a must for us not just for our water but also our daughter’s medication. Many hotels now we have to request a fridge but that was not the case at the Wyndham.
One of the first things we noticed besides the comfy beds and the view was all of the electrical outlets and USB ports. For a travel writer and heck for a tech/gadget oriented family like mine (and most nowadays) this is important. We had more than enough ports to plugin in two phones, laptop and a tablet. That is a first and it’s no wonder that some of fellow bloggers/travel writers knew which hotel I was staying when I mentioned all the outlets. This is a very well thought out room and made our stay that much more comfortable.
Not only did we have a great view of Disney Springs from our hotel room window but we could also see the fireworks from Disney World. We would definitely want the Disney Springs view rooms if we ever get the chance to go back to the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort.
We spent time at their lovely pool area that also has a waterpark area for the kids. We never found it overly busy and this was high season, summer (late July). From the families to the business people who stayed there, many would be busy either at conferences or enjoying the local attractions and the Disney Springs Area itself had so much to offer from a ton of restaurants, shopping and more.
What also turned out to be a godsend was their laundry area. By the time we had arrived in Orlando we had already been away from home for nine days so we were running out of clean clothes. It was empty when we got there so we loaded up four washes and got all our laundry done, which meant less for when we got home yay. Now let’s not forget everything around the hotel Disney Springs, there’s a ton to see. So much that I have to put all of those photos in a separate page for you. You can see all of them HERE.
Here are just a few of those photos so you can get an idea of everything that is around the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort. You can walk around and see so much.
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the photos in our Disney Springs album HERE. Below is a quick video we took while walking around the Disney Springs area.
We also had the opportunity to try out the Character Breakfast at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort and it was fabulous. So fabulous we’re going to share that fun in our next article, look out for it in the next few weeks but here’s a sneak peak.
Even when it was almost time to leave I was impressed one last time by the all the services and amenities available at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort. We found out that you can arrange to have your luggage taken to the airport for you and they check it in too. It’s an external company that takes care of it but they’ve been doing it for years.
Just bring your luggage down in the morning between 6am-12pm but we recommend not waiting until 12pm. This of course depends on your flight times so if there’s an issue talk to their rep who can be found in the lobby the morning before at the latest. We were thrilled with this as we had 3 big suitcases and if we didn’t have to worry about the hassle of taking them to the airport, checking them in then we were all for it. So we used this service and it was perfect. So nice to not have to deal with our checked luggage and so much easier.
Even if you’re not going to Disney World, the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort has a lot to offer. We didn’t have time to explore everything such as the tennis courts and volleyball area. There’s also a small arcade and the pool side Oasis Bar and Grill. It’s a great resort for families and business travellers alike, you’ll find everything you need at the hotel or close by to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Make sure to stop by and check out their site and follow them on their social media channels. You’ll definitely want to keep them at the top of your list for your next visit to the Orlando area.
Looks like it was a great trip… many beautiful and fun things. 🙂
I didn’t realize they were an official Disney hotel. I run in a lot of the runDisney races and I always stay on property so that I can use the race transportation. As an official hotel, they still offer the race transportation, and the prices are comparable to the Disney moderate hotels (with nicer amenities!). I will definitely be thinking about booking them for my next race weekend.
I would love to take my grandkids here someday. They would love it and so we I. The rooms are nice. And I would love to take a ride in the hot air balloon.
I love how easy it is to get from park to park when you stay at the Disney resorts in Orlando. They are always beautiful and have great amenities! Can’t wait for our Disney trip in a couple months!!
I’ve only been to Disney once back in 99. This hotel sure beats the Econo Lodge type motel we stayed at.
I’ve never been but would love to go. Of course, to be able to take my grandchildren, as well! You covered things pretty well here. I know it would be a lot of fun! Thank you for the review!
This looks great! I live about an hour from Orlando and am always looking for great hotels that aren’t Disney ones!
I loved it when I went before and would love to go back again
I love the new Disney Springs area! We have always stayed on WDW properties and this is worth a look!
I’ve been there before. great service.
This looks like a beautiful place to visit. I would love to take my grandkids here. Thank you for sharing.
Looking good lovely like to visit
I think my husband and I stayed here over 20 years ago. It was a really nice place with a great location.
We have a Wyndham here in Colorado Springs too. It is a very nice place to stay. Maybe not QUITE as nice as this one though!
What a super fun place. I would love to go there! The T-Rex looks like a fun extra.
We’ve been looking for some place to stay when we go next year! What a gorgeous view.
It’s always nice to have amenities like fridges, and I love that they have a laundry area! I wish more hotels had that.
When I see posts like this I ‘m so happy I got to spend 12 years living in Orlando. I was on the northside (Maitland/Winter Park) the only division of cities was the street signs changing color). But when you wanted to see the attractions and take out visitors…Hard Rock; Race Rock; Universal; Disney. It was a quick drive south and after living there for a few years I knew all the non-traffic roads to anywhere. My brother got stuck in traffic for 3 hrs once because he didn’t know how to get off I-4. Now I-4 is considered the most dangerous highway in America…wow. I’m too old too miss all the hustle & bustle now, like having Corvettes, they would be fun on short trips still, don’t get me wrong, but WOW what fun it was to own them when you were in your 20’s! lol
We were to Disney when I was 12 and I have dreamed of returning ever since. Our kids are at the age they would really enjoy so fingers crossed in the next few years 🙂
Beautiful hotel. We love going to Disney and enjoy staying at nicer hotels.
I love Disney this hotel is beautiful!
I would love to go to Disney and stay here.
This place is beautiful and I did not know about this place until now. I have to add this to my to do list.
I always check reviews etc before I stay in any hotel, someone who has been a guest will be honest and review in that manner
My daughter, husband and I will be going to Orlando for vacation early next year. I will be checking this place out! It looks amazing!
I would love to visit Disney and this looks like an awesome vacation destination.
Would love to find an awesome Disney deal. i need to do some research.
This sounds like a wonderful place to stay. It looks beautiful. I will check this out soon for my family. Thank you so much for sharing
Wow. Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is the place to stay.
I have been to Orlando twice but never to this hotel.
Wow, what a fun place to stay at! I thought it looked fancy too, just like the kids said. That coffee shop and market in the hotel is a nice touch. That’s great you could see fireworks from your room. We also need a refrigerator everywhere we stay for our health needs.
We Canadians are planning a week in November at Disneyworld, our first, and hadn’t decided where to stay yet..Wyndham is looking pretty good
Wow,it’s so beautiful.
This is our go to hotel when we go to Orlando!! We love the tower, the cute, the pools, the prices and the customer service is excellent! I definetly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Orlando!
thanks for sharing Kelly. I couldn’t agree more excellent customer service it’s a great hotel.
Looks like a great place to stay while visiting in Orlando, Florida.
We love to travel and this sounds like a wonderful place to take the family.
Some of the onsite Disney Hotels don’t have as much in the hospitality area as the offsite hotels, so when I go to Orlando next time, I will definitely keep this one in mind. I have to do pin trading too so the shop would be great for me. When I was at Disneyland last year I was able to get some really rare Snow White pins for the 75th? anniversary..
I also love Joffrey’s coffee. I have to stock up on it at Disney because there is nowhere that sells it near my home. Frankly I live in the middle of nowhere, but that’s not my point haha.
omg i want to go there!
Awesome place. I would love to stay here.
Oh this looks so amazing I wish I could visit.
I’ve never been to a place like this and I have no idea if I ever will, so I’m just gonna live vicariously through this post lol!
So hospitable and inviting! Now I want to go lol

I also love my fancy coffee. I plan to go back to any of the Disney parks after I have my future children.

Wyndham hotels are always so nice to stay at. This one is beautiful!
The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort looks like such a beautiful place to stay when vacationing in Orlando. I have heard of it but had no idea until seeing your review just how awesome this place really is.
I like that they have shuttles to the Disney properties. And a view of the fireworks.
As always Disney impressed with an incredible resort! Families will love the setup and activity!
We love Disney but usually stay onsite. However, this hotel looks like it’s in a good option in a great location.
