Themed Charcuterie Boards
While we are doing a holiday charcuterie board in the shape of a wreath you can do almost any shape and theme. You can look up via the holiday like Thanksgiving, Halloween, Valentines, Easter, and the list goes on. It’s a ton of fun to see how creative people can get!
You can also make your charcuterie board based on a theme meal like breakfast, lunch, desert and you get the idea. I saw a cute and delicious dessert charcuterie board at Rainbow Plant Life and some stunning breakfast/brunch charcuterie boards at Eating Well.

The salami roses are easier to make than you might think. I must admit I was worried about trying it out the first time I did them as I don’t consider myself crafty or artistic which is what some of these charcuterie boards look like works of art! Fortunately it’s so easy!
Use a glass that works with the size of your round meat slices. (I used 4-inch diameter slices and 1.5-inch in diameter glass). Place the meat slice in the rim of the glass (as pictured above). Fold by half into and out of the glass.
Repeat the process overlapping slices all over the rim of the glass until there is no more space in the interior. Eight slices should be enough to form the salami roses. Put your hand near the top of the glass in case the rose starts to come out before you’re done placing it on the board. You will do this by turning the glass upside down and setting the salami rose on your board so they look like the roses in the photo below.

Wreath Holiday Charcuterie Board
This Holiday Charcuterie Board in the shape of a wreath makes for a beautiful and delicious centerpiece. It's fun for any holiday gathering.
Ingredients
- 3 oz spinach
- 10 cherry tomatoes
- 15 feta cheese square pieces
- 10 pickled vegetable skewers
- 1 oz macadamia nuts
- 16 salami slices
Instructions
- Start building the base of your Christmas wreath charcuterie board. You will use the spinach to form a circle along the perimeter of your board/dish. I recommend using a plate of 14-inch in diameter. The bigger the diameter of your plate,
the bigger the final board. - Add the cherry tomatoes and the pickled vegetable skewers distributing around the board (see photos).
- Add the feta cheese pieces and the macadamia nuts all over the spinach circle in the gaps between the tomatoes and the pickled vegetable skewers.
- Form your salami roses, this will probably take the longest. Use a glass that works with the size of your round meat slices. (I used 4-inch diameter slices and 1.5-inch in diameter glass). Place the meat slice in the rim of the glass (as pictured in our post). Fold by half into and out of the glass.
- Repeat the process overlapping slices all over
the rim of the glass until there is no more space in the interior. Eight slices should be enough to form the salami roses. Put your hand near the top of the glass in case the rose starts to come out before you're done placing it on the
board. You will do this by turning the glass upside down and setting the salami rose on your board
Notes
Tip #1: These skewers contain olives, pickles, baby onions, and capsicum, but you can substitute with whatever you prefer.
Tip #2: Be careful by adding more cherry tomatoes and skewers than necessary because the board can look overloaded if you add too many.
Tip #3: We didn't put it on our photos but if you want you can fill the center of the wreath with crackers, cheeses, more meats and whatever else you like. Just make sure you have a solid board or plate underneath.

The presentation on this is fantastic. I imagine one could work in brussel sprouts and cranberries and celery some way too. Love the look and so clever for holiday parties.
Oh boy, this is so nice! I think we’ll have this for our stay-in New Year’s Eve. I buy very sweet “grape” tomatoes, they taste just like candy. I’m also going to cut up small cubes of Asiago cheese for the center. Thanks!!! Happy New Year!
I love that this is in the shape of a wreath. This is great for a holiday party, although I might add some more meat.
This is so beautiful and festive! I would definitely love to do something like this, it doesn’t seem too hard either. Thanks for sharing!
This is so pretty! The only problem I have with Chacuterie boards is they are to pretty to mess up. So I refuse to be the first one to take any thing off of them
