Vietnamese Peanut Sauce Recipe

This authentic Vietnamese peanut sauce recipe is very easy to make and only needs a handful of ingredients.

Peanut sauce as known as Tương Chấm Gỏi Cuốn  in Vietnamese is usually served with shrimp and pork summer rolls.


Vegetable oil Garlic cloves Water Hoisin sauce Creamy peanut butter

In a small pot heat the vegetable oil on medium to medium/high heat depending on how hot your stove gets.


Add the garlic and sauté until it starts to turn a golden colour (usually less than 60 seconds).


Add hoisin sauce, peanut butter and the water. Stir until it’s mixed well and turn the heat down to low. Let the sauce simmer for 3-6 minutes.


Remove the peanut sauce from the pot and serve in individual dipping bowls.
