Valentine Pretzel Rods

These Valentine Pretzel Rods are a quick, easy & tasty treat put together with or without the kiddos and can be decorated in a variety of ways.
Ingredients
- 15 Pretzel Rods
- 1 12-Ounce Bag Pink Candy Melts
- 1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
- Valentine’s Day Sprinkle Mix
Items Needed:
- Parchment Paper
- Tall Cup
- Baking Sheet
Instructions
Line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and cook on high for 3 minutes or until nice and smooth when stirred. Pause every 30 seconds or so to stir the candy melts so
they don’t burn.
Immediately add the coconut oil and stir until fully combined.
Pour your chocolate into your tall cup or dipping container.
Dip your pretzel rod into the cup until it’s about half covered. Give it a couple light taps on the side of the dish to remove excess chocolate.
Lay it flat on the prepared sheet and immediately sprinkle with your sprinkle mix. Repeat with the rest of the pretzel rods.
Allow to rest for 10 minutes or until hardened. Enjoy!
Notes
- Be careful to not cover the pretzel rod down too far with chocolate or it gets messy to hold it and eat it, especially for kids.
- If you’re having trouble with your sprinkles sliding off, wait a minute or so for the chocolate to dry slightly and then place your bigger sprinkles carefully, then sprinkle the smaller portion of the sprinkles and it should stick fine. You’ll get some
sliding, but that’s ok, it helps cover the sides. - If your chocolate starts to get too thick when dipping, or even before, you can heat it back up for a few more seconds. If this doesn’t work, you can add just a touch more coconut oil and that should do it.

Now is that easy peasy or what?

Yes, 4 ingredients does the trick with me! I love your suggestion about tweaking the colors for different holidays/occasions, I’m big on that. And, I love salty & sweet together, somehow the combination just hits the spot!
