The Power Pressure Cooker XL- Meals at the touch of a button

I don’t know about you, but this mama needs a 48 hour day every once in while. It seems the to do list grows exponentially this time of year. I’m just getting to know my Power Pressure Cooker but I have a feeling this relationship is going somewhere!  I’m falling head over heals in love.  Like any other relationship, we had some bumps in the road to begin with, AKA I didn’t follow directions very well 😉 . But we’re starting to understand each other a little better and – WOW! My first attempt may or may not have flopped because someone (ahem) may or may not have put around 16 times as much liquid in the cooker as he was calling for… That being said the chicken was still delish! 🙂

For round two, I decided to actually follow the instructions, and what do you know – it turned out fabulous and in a fraction of the time. You can get my version of Pressure Cooker Insanely Delish Chicken Dip here.

From start to finish this chicken was done in 35 minutes with 25 of that just cooking time. Super simple (when you follow directions)! The Power Pressure Cooker is giving me much more than tender juicy meals, it’s giving me something much more valuable than that – TIME. I’m not spending half of my evening preparing meals and cleaning up after it’s devoured by two growing man-children!

If you’re looking for something to simplify your meal planning, I would 100% recommend this pressure cooker. In the short time I’ve had my Power Pressure Cooker XL I’ve made chicken wings, a whole roasted chicken, baked beans, and of course the Crack Chicken that you can find below. Each recipe literally took a fraction of the time to cook and tasted absolutely divine! The wings and the whole chicken fell off the bone it was so tender! The baked beans – who knew baked beans could be so easy?!? I threw all of the ingredients in the cooker and 15 minutes later, I had a pot of yummy goodness!

For me the Power Pressure Cooker would be perfect, since I can not stand long periods of time anymore and there would be no more spending time over a hot stove.

  30. I have been wanting one for quite a long time now. I like the idea that less power would be used to cook and can. I would mostly be excited about canning. I normally don’t can in large jars so this would be great. I wouldn’t have to keep a close eye on the pressure because the Power Pressure Cooker XL is programmable. Just think, a meal in minutes and its not in a controversial microwave.

I love the fact that using a pressure cooker reduces cooking time by a lot. Though this one has a lot of buttons, I’m sure using directions 😉 would make it quite easy to use. i did go and check out your insanely delicious chicken dip and OMG. It looks absolutely delicious. The only thing that I would change up is bacon, we don’t really eat it.

My son also has stomach problems due to his health condition. So we are having to make meals that he can handle so this would be perfect to get them on the table and have it cooking while I can still be doing things for the family. It would be an Epic win in this house! I also loved that it can be used for canning as I want to can foods for the winter when fresh is not so available for our family as well so that it would be better for my son’s stomach issues.

This one looks much easier than my mom’s and I think I’d be able to use it. Maybe I’d finally get the taste in the meals by using this 🙂

  90. I’ve heard good and bad things about electric pressure cookers, so I’m still on the fence until I’m able to try it out with our favorite recipes. I cook a lot of Italian and Latin foods (not mexican) and the ones we love the most are high heat beginning, then low and slow stewing time. My mother-in-law used to use a stove top pressure cooker and I had it after she passed. Along the moves, we’ve lost it and I haven’t been able to get another one. I would love to give this one a try, to see if it’s as good as I remember Mami’s 🙂
