The Power Pressure Cooker XL- Meals at the touch of a button
I don’t know about you, but this mama needs a 48 hour day every once in while. It seems the to do list grows exponentially this time of year. Kids have ball games, everyone wants to grill out over the weekend, spring break… the list could go on. The Power Pressure Cooker XL has come to save the day! You can mark standing over the stove for nutritious meals off of that ever growing to do list!
The Power Pressure Cooker XL is the amazing, one-button kitchen miracle that lets you prepare perfectly cooked, mouthwatering meals for your entire family— 70% faster than conventional ovens!
The secret is the Power Pressure Cooker XL’s air-tight lid. It locks into place, trapping super-heated steam inside. The hyper-pressurized environment forces liquid and moisture into your food, locking in loads of intense flavor and essential nutrients.
One-touch technology means all you have to do is press one of the pre-set buttons. Your family’s favorite homemade meals cook to perfection quickly and easily. All in one pot!
I’m just getting to know my Power Pressure Cooker but I have a feeling this relationship is going somewhere! I’m falling head over heals in love. Like any other relationship, we had some bumps in the road to begin with, AKA I didn’t follow directions very well 😉 . But we’re starting to understand each other a little better and – WOW! My first attempt may or may not have flopped because someone (ahem) may or may not have put around 16 times as much liquid in the cooker as he was calling for… That being said the chicken was still delish! 🙂
For round two, I decided to actually follow the instructions, and what do you know – it turned out fabulous and in a fraction of the time. You can get my version of Pressure Cooker Insanely Delish Chicken Dip here.
From start to finish this chicken was done in 35 minutes with 25 of that just cooking time. Super simple (when you follow directions)! The Power Pressure Cooker is giving me much more than tender juicy meals, it’s giving me something much more valuable than that – TIME. I’m not spending half of my evening preparing meals and cleaning up after it’s devoured by two growing man-children!
If you’re looking for something to simplify your meal planning, I would 100% recommend this pressure cooker. In the short time I’ve had my Power Pressure Cooker XL I’ve made chicken wings, a whole roasted chicken, baked beans, and of course the Crack Chicken that you can find below. Each recipe literally took a fraction of the time to cook and tasted absolutely divine! The wings and the whole chicken fell off the bone it was so tender! The baked beans – who knew baked beans could be so easy?!? I threw all of the ingredients in the cooker and 15 minutes later, I had a pot of yummy goodness!
The Power Pressure Cooker XL review is most excellent in that it shows the great specs oif the cooker. I am considering one anyway, so this clinches the sale.
The pressure cooker would help make my white chicken chili taste amazing!
I have never used a Pressure Cooker. But I know exactly what you mean about time, so if this saves me some time, then I am all for it. And I love that it is simple… when you follow directions. 🙂
My favorite thing about it is that it enhances flavors and reduces cooking down. Anything that makes my life easier in my food taste better I’m all for it
I really like that it intensifies the flavors when cooking and 70% faster than conventional cooking. With such a busy life, that could really help me save time!
The review makes it look so simple and not intimidating!
I love that I could cook quicker and not dirty so many pans. A big plus would be not using the oven in the summer time!
Wow, I love to cook my meals in my crock pot so I can let it cook while I work, but if I can cook great meals in a fraction of the time, I will definitely have to try a pressure cooker!
I love that it can cook 70% faster than a conventional oven.
Love that it cooks 70% faster then ovens!! Being a mom of 2 it would be nice to cook a fast meal!
I have a friend that loves her so I was wondering what the fuss was about. I love that this makes a dinner in half the regular time. Also all the recipes that this can make, would give me and my family more meal options on those busy days.
This pressure power cooker has so many wonderful features. It would perfect for my big family meals on Sundays.
I love the locking lid and that there are preset buttons so I don’t have to try to remember cooking times for everything.
Other people swear by these. One of the teachers I work with makes a juicy roast in no time. I need to see what all the fuss is about.
An amazing way to cook various foods quicker and still maintain lots of flavor. At the touch of a button, food does not have to take forever to cook. For me the Power Pressure Cooker would be perfect, since I can not stand long periods of time anymore and there would be no more spending time over a hot stove.
I love that it has pre set buttons to make your life easier. It is also quite large to fit a meal for a huge family.
Such a simple way to cook. I love the one button. I would like to gift it to my mom for mother’s day.
I like that its 70% faster than conventional ovens! also One-touch technology means all you have to do is press one of the pre-set buttons all done with a meal.
I always wondered about these pressure cookies. From the looks of it one can have a mean in very little time. Love the elecronics too
I love that you can reduce cooking time. I am for anything that can be prepared quickly.
I like anything to make my life easier. I love to cook and try new gadgets and recipes. I like it has everything timed and easy operation. The lock is also an added bonus.
I WANT ONE
Being able to cook healthy, yummy meals in record time is a win! My Mom used a pressure cooker to make meals quickly and they tasted so good. These new cookers are a far cry from the scary ones in the past.
I love the fact that you can throw everything in and let it go without worry.
I’d try a pot roast with lots of fresh potatoes, carrots, celery, and onions.
I would love to try one of these out.
This has sure changed form the older models of pressure cookers. i like that is is 70% faster than regular ovens. This would be used to me all the time.
I love that it can cook a whole meal in less then 30 minutes. Faster than a crock pot. Great for those who work and are constantly on the run.
Wow! I didn’t realize they cooked 70% faster than conventional ovens! That is awesome!
I like that it cooks 70% faster than conventional ovens and also the one-touch options. This is a really nice pressure cooker!
my husband and i have been debating getting one of these. after reading this review i think we will have to go ahead and get one.
I love that it leaves meats juicy. Thanks for the great review.
I love that this cooks 70% faster than conventional ovens! How awesome.
This would be so great to have. You get your food done a lot faster in one of these.
I love the fact that it cooks 70% faster than conventional ovens and that it’s electric – unlike my old pressure cooker. This would be a real time saver during the week.
I have been wanting one of these since they came out. They are energy efficient and so much faster than baking. I think I would like the preset, so no guessing. I like everything about these units. Fingers crossed. Santa didnt deliver, maybe this time I will get lucky!
I cant believe it cooks 70% faster than an oven. Mind. Blown.
I really like that it cooks 70% faster than the oven. This would be terrific for cooking dinner during the week when I don;t have much time.
Wow it cooks 70% faster than the oven. I would love to have a good meal ready in 15 minutes! This cooker seems like a lifesaver.
I use my crock pot all the time, but I’d love to try this for times when I want the food cooked quickly.
I like that it saves time and seems easy to use based on your review of this. Thanks for sharing!
Wow!!! This most definitely sounds better than my slow cooker, but I still have questions. Like can you sear the meat in this before locking it and cooking and how hard is it to clean? I guess I don’t really need the answers because I want one anyway.
This invention is just so amazing to me. I dread cooking supper every night. We usually have to have the same things over & over & so time consuming! I love that you just pop a chicken in and walah..done! One of these days..I will have one!
I can’t believe you can put in froze meat and have it done so quickly!
I would like to know more about cleanup after use. Can you submerse it in water? And does it with a recipe book of any kind to help get started. I have a small stove top pressure cooker and would like to get something larger.
I really like that it has preset buttons to help take the guess work out of Dinner. So much faster than cooking in an oven! I’d love to try ribs and baked beans!
This would be so incredible to have for our busy weeknights! LOVE that it can cook my dinner so quickly!
Man!!! 70% faster???!!!! WHA???!!! I love my oven but not in the summer. Heats up the house too much. I have a toaster oven, but I’m more and more convinced it’s really for toast. I’m thinking this Pressure cooker would have the room and I could Chuck my toaster out to the drive way n run it over with my car…
My Daughter never heard of pressure cooking, but I remember my mother doing it .The food was amazing! I can’t wait to try it!
What really interest me is that it takes a fraction of the time that it would in a regular oven. Sure would make dinner time a lot easier!
I have been wanting one for quite a long time now. I like the idea that less power would be used to cook and can. I would mostly be excited about canning. I normally don’t can in large jars so this would be great. I wouldn’t have to keep a close eye on the pressure because the Power Pressure Cooker XL is programmable. Just think, a meal in minutes and its not in a controversial microwave.
It would be so nice to win this, as I know I can never afford to buy one living on SS. It sure takes some getting use to after working hard all your life. But I still miss roofing, wait, that makes me crazy too right? Maybe I can get a bigger check???
Love that it is one button “get it done” process. We cook a lot of chicken so this would be perfect especially on soccer practice evenings.
This pressure cooker sounds amazing! I can’t believe how quickly it can cook meals, that is brilliant. 🙂 I would definitely love to try one, being able to just press one button and be done would be a life saver!
It’s amazing how fast you can cook foods in this pressure cooker – your review says 70% faster than conventional ovens! It would make cooking in the summer months a lot easier not needing the long time using regular ovens and not adding all that heat into the kitchen.
The controls looks really great to use with simple buttons. Cuts cooking time down so much. Love the picture showing the controls.
it cooks rice. I can not cook rice in a pot. It comes out sticky and always burned on the bottom. My husband usually stop at the Chinese take out to pick up rice because I can not make it right.
I like how fast this power pressure cooker can cook your chicken and other meats, that would speed up cooking time and that would be great on weeknights.
I learn 70% faster than conventional ovens!
Great product for busy families to make dinner fast and safely.
This is not my mother’s pressure cooker which I expected to blast off every time she used it. Exciting. The Power Pressure Cooker is not only safer but what I like is the versatility of styles of cooking with it. One can even use it for canning. Great cooker and something that will get a lot of use.
I grew up with my mom using pressure cookers that use to shake and make all kinds of noice. They always scared me to try them but this seems so much safer.
I LOVE that this cooks alot faster than a regular oven this is on my wishlist for my kids for Mothers day I hope they get it for me.
I’ve been thinking about getting a pressure cooker for a while now. The fact that it cooks 70% faster than a conventional oven is what really interests me the most.
I learned that it is very easy to use and has alot of functions. Way better than my stovetop pressure cooker.
I learned how many functions the cooker has. Way more than I thought
I love that even the the cooking is fast, the food is still moist. I struggle sometimes with a slow cooker and the meat drying out or being too tough.
I have cooked under pressure before-a long time ago-when pressure cooking was fraught with danger! This pressure cooker looks so easy=-and safe!
Thanks for the reminder to read the instructions! It’s so easy to get excited and just jump in.
I want to get one of these for my son who’s moving out.
I have always been scared to death of pressure cookers, but this one seems perfect for me.
I love that this cooks food up to 70% faster than in the oven. I had no idea – I see something like this and assume it works like a slow-cooker – as in it takes all day to make something. It sounds like a great tool to have when I want a great dinner but don’t have an hour to wait while it cooks in the oven!
Thanks for the recipes. This pressure cooker sounds like it would fit my busy schedule perfectly by being so fast. I also had no idea you could cook things like baked beans in there.
This pressure cooker looks pretty easy to use. It would get a lot of use at my house. I make lots of soups and stews and this would really speed things up.
I like the one touch technology. I still have my old pressure cooker, but have not used it lately. This new power pressure cooker xl is so much nicer.
I use a regular pressure cooker. The main problem I have with it, is knowing how long to let it cook. The presets sound wonderful. I hate to overcook a meal and have it turn out dry. I would probably love this one.
Thank you for the great review! Following directions seems like the key! Thank you so much!
Thanks for the review. I always assumed there was a lot more work involved with using a pressure cooker, but this sounds super impressive and like it would really save some time!
I remember y mother using her pressure cooker and telling us kids not to be running through the house or jumping because of it being dangerous. I’m so glad they are safer.
Love the set it and forget it part.
So happy that pressure cookers are now safe! Lordy, my mom had so many blow ups in our kitchen when I was a child..teen..she finally chucked it!
I’ve wanted a pressure cooker for ages. I love my crockpot since I can “set it and forget it” but I also love the idea of being able to cook dinner so quickly as well.
I’ve never owned or used a pressure cooker. I think I would like how quickly it cooks things. It’d be nice to not heat up the oven.
I never knew that pressure cookers cooked 70% faster. I have 3 boys 2 under 3 so it’s hard to cook a meal for 5 when I have littles under my feet asking to be picked up. It would be so much easier to cook in something like this. Also I completely understand when you say a mama just needs 48hrs lol unfortunately I’ve never had that not even 6 unless I’m working lol
I love the pre-set buttons and how it shortens the cooking time.
Thanks for the run-through. It seems like it’s pretty easy to use.
I like that they are more user friendly now a days
I love the one touch technology. It makes everything so simple and you don’t have to watch it constantly like the old pressure cookers.
I noticed this has a large opening at the top and I really like that. I also like that it has the clock timer countdown on the front. I like to watch countdown clocks.
I love that it’s digital and has pre-set buttons, along with the fact that it cooks meals so fast. It is a lot less intimidating looking than a standard pressure cooker. I noticed in the first pic also, that it looks like you can do some canning with it as well, which is a huge bonus for me.
Looking good would love to have one saves on cooking time
In reviewing this review I think powered by mommy did a great job. The review of the product was short enough to keep my attention, and she was able to highlight the best points about this cooker without boring me to death.
This sounds awesome. I love that this is so much faster than a regular oven. I’m an impatient cook!
35 minutes to cook a chicken is great . I love products to cook with that make it fast and easy to do. This looks easy one pot cooking and quick too love to try one out.
This amazing item sounds like I would have my own personal chef at the touch of a button!!
Also I can just imagine all the juices and flavors the food would have because it puts them all back in like a revolving door. They can’t escape! So yummy & tasty! Watch out taste buds, a treat called natural flavor is coming your way!!
What a time-saver! This would be so great to have.
Locking the nutrition in. That is what I like too. Giving my family a nutritious meal is important.
What a great way to make some yummy meals! I’d love to have one of these; the fact that it is 70% faster than conventional ovens is great.
What a great time saver. Would love to have one in my kitchen.
I love that this is 70%faster and locks.Make prep time so much faster.I’d love to make a big roast in one.
I was recently robbed and believe it or not all my crock pots were stolen> i think I’ll replace them with an Instant Pot. This sounds great!
The beans is what I really want to try, I have soaked beans over night and cooked all day and they still weren’t soft, so if you can cook bean this fast, hurrah!
I have never used a pressure cooker but I have heard the food turns out delicious. I am really busy so this would be so helpful!
I use to be so afraid of pressure cookers but they have come a long way! This one sounds wonderful 🙂
I am a dedicated stove top pressure cooker user, but I’d love to try this, too!
I have wanted one of these Power Pressure Cookers for the longest time!! I love how versatile it is and how easy it is to operate! Also, I love how quickly it cooks food!!
This seems like it would be wonderful for us. It seems like it would make cooking at home so much easier.
I am actually shopping around for a pressure cooker. Need a time saver due to work schedules to make some good healthy meals for my family.
What a time save this would be but more importantly it sounds like the meals come out tasting flavorful and delicious. I like the idea of being able to do a whole roasted chicken.
I’ve loved using my pressure cooker for years but I’m ready to spring into the new millenium and get onboard with this new Power Pressure Cooker! Btw, where is the Crack chicken recipe?
My grandmother did a lot of her cooking in an old school pressure cooker. Since I am not all that great at meal planning, I know I would love how quickly things cook, even when I forget to soak beans or thaw meat.
My mom has an archaic pressure cooker from the 70s. While it does the job still after 40+ years, it is really scary to watch it cook things. I would never use that myself for fear of losing a body part! This looks so simple and I would definitely make beans in it as I make them on the stove and it is time consuming and messy!
I have an old pressure cooker and afraid to use it now. I love food prepared in the cooker. This one would be great for preparing meals fast and quick. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
I love how easy this is to use I also really like how fast you can cook something with this
I love that it’s super easy to make something! I would love to own a pressure cooker!
This would be a great win for me because it’s hard for me to stand up and cook, I could do a great stew, soup,or casserole in this with ease
I am a single, disabled mom and this would be great to have! I could make so many meals and it would be easy for me. This pressure cooker seems like a really nice one.
Like I said before…. I’m trying to win this giveaway for my beautiful one to cook amazing dishes that I can’t wait for….. ??
It would be awesome to cook a wholesome summer meal without turning on the stove or oven!
i have heard so many great things about pressure cookers.
just love how pressure cookers shortens cooking time by so much
I had one 35 yrs ago the old fashioned one with the weight valve on top and was canning green beans I forgot to put water in it and blew the small safety valve on the lid (didn’t destroy anything) just scared me. The new one’s are safer. I would love to have a new pressure cooker with preset times and one button ease
I’ve heard so many awesome things about pressure cookers. And I’ve even looked into them… but, they’re a bit on the pricey side for me at least. I love the fact that using a pressure cooker reduces cooking time by a lot. Though this one has a lot of buttons, I’m sure using directions 😉 would make it quite easy to use. i did go and check out your insanely delicious chicken dip and OMG. It looks absolutely delicious. The only thing that I would change up is bacon, we don’t really eat it.
I would love the one button to press! Delicious meals quickly as well! I homeschool my son’s, they are both special needs so that takes some time, I also take care of my mother. My son also has stomach problems due to his health condition. So we are having to make meals that he can handle so this would be perfect to get them on the table and have it cooking while I can still be doing things for the family. It would be an Epic win in this house! I also loved that it can be used for canning as I want to can foods for the winter when fresh is not so available for our family as well so that it would be better for my son’s stomach issues.
being a single mother of 4 AND WORKING AND YET STILL WANTING GIVE MY KIDS A HEALTHY HOMECOOKED MEAL THIS WOULD BE PERFECT FOR ME SINCE I DONT HAVE ALOT OF TIME AND THANKS FOR THE REVIEW ONE NICE PRESSURE COOKER
Would Love To Have A Pressure Cooker~ Any Appliance That Can Save Time In Meal Preparation Is A Must Have~Need It~Want It~Got To Have It~?
I really need to simplify my meal planning and I can see where pressure cooking would help with that.
My pantry is taken up with my rice cooker and multiple slow cookers. When I was growing up, my mom always used a pressure cooker, but it was one of those bulky metal ones that you used on the top of the stove. I’ve heard great things about these electric pressure cookers and would love to have one.
I absolutely love how easy it seems to use! I’ve heard great things about these!
This would be great for me. We are always in a hurry and this cooking in a fast time would be a blessing
I like the One-Touch Technology and how quick you can make meals.
It is great that there are one touch pre-set buttons. No complications!
I like that the pressure cooker is digital. The one I have isn’t digital and so I think that would be really convenient. I also just like how nice and appealing it looks.
This would be so much better than the scary old stovetop pressure cooker that I used years ago! So much easier and more convenient! I could see me using it a couple times a week at least!
My mom always used an old fashioned pressure cooker. I was scared of it, lol She never had a problem tho, however when she asked me if I wanted it, I said nooooooooo lol I loved the food she cooked in it, but I could never duplicate the taste with regular pots and pans. This one looks much easier than my mom’s and I think I’d be able to use it. Maybe I’d finally get the taste in the meals by using this 🙂
I have been seeing so much about pressure cookers lately, and this one looks like it would meet all of my cooking needs.
I don’t have a lot of new recipes I have tried but I have made pulled pork for my kids and I. I can only do it on my days off work because it takes so long to cook in the slow cooker. Like you, I have 5 kids and a single dad so saving time and cooking better meals would be terrific for me. I have been printing off many more recipes to try so this sure could help make life easier.
It would be fabulous when I had limited amount of time to prepare meals for my entire family knowing it would cook 70% faster than my conventional oven!
I like that it’s 70% faster!
I love cooking with pressure cookers. I like how it locking in loads of intense flavor and essential nutrients. I love how easy it is to use
I like that there are buttons pre-set to cook meals.
The Pressure Cooker Insanely Delish Chicken Dip recipe sounds really, really good! Until I receive my Power Pressure Cooker (!) I will attempt this recipe with chicken from my rice cooker. I like the idea of having presets. No guess work…just follow the recipe then hide in the panty, also a great tip!
I love how it has settings that know how to cook things without wondering how long to do it for! It’s a time saver too!
I was always afraid to use a pressure cooker. I thought it would explode. Now this one is such a different story. It sounds so easy to use and with a one touch button what could possible go wrong. No more worrying about it exploding. I love that it can cook a meal in a fraction of the time too.
This would make hot meals easier to have during the summer.
I’ve never used a pressure cooker. Who knows, maybe I’d be able to actually cook something without ruining it.
This would be great for me, I’m so pressed for time when I get home from work that I could use something that can make healthy meals fast.
What an awesome kitchen device! It truly seems to simplify the cooking process and would be awesome for our typically busy weeknights.
I love all the pre-sets. Looks like this could really help me get my cooking done faster for those normally time consuming meals. Love it.
I’ve heard good and bad things about electric pressure cookers, so I’m still on the fence until I’m able to try it out with our favorite recipes. I cook a lot of Italian and Latin foods (not mexican) and the ones we love the most are high heat beginning, then low and slow stewing time. My mother-in-law used to use a stove top pressure cooker and I had it after she passed. Along the moves, we’ve lost it and I haven’t been able to get another one. I would love to give this one a try, to see if it’s as good as I remember Mami’s 🙂
I like that it would cook less tender pieces of meat and make them tender and that it cooks 70% faster than conventional ovens. This would save money and time.
SO easy and so fast!! Like something straight out of my dreams lol!! This lady needs one!! I am the queen of the last minute 😉
I’ve never used a pressure cooker (always been a little afraid). Seems like they have really modernized it and made it easy to use. I like that the lid locks on and everything is a one button, digital push and go. Thanks for the review!
I had the old kind of pressure cooker with the jiggly round thing on top. I never felt totally comfortable with it. I like the top locking on this one.
Oh wow! This would be great for cooking those tough cuts of meat. To be able to come home, start the cooker, go get a bath, maybe clean up a little and come back to find dinner ready, would be so nice. Also, we eat a lot of rice and I see the pot is good for that too!
I can imagine how great this must be! I’m all about it taking 70% less time than cooking in the oven….especially for after work or in the summer when I don’t want to heat up the kitchen with the oven on. Thanks for the chance to win! 🙂
This type of kitchen device would be a miracle time saver for our kitchen. Can’t wait to get one.
Pressure cookers have come a long way, the old ones looked like a safety hazard. But I would love to give the new one a try, the baked beans sound good to try.
I have always want to try a pressure cooker! I hate when it takes a long time to cook meals. This would certainly speed up the time!
We are a busy family of 5. Seems we are always rushing through meals so we can get somewhere on time. I really like that this pressure cooker can get our meals done super FAST! Yay for that!
I have alwas wanted a pressure cooker! There are so many days where I completely forget to take something out to thaw for dinner in time and then I’m scrambling to get something made when I get home from work! This would help out so much!
I didn’t realize that a pressure cookers saves 70% faster than conventional ovens! The one button press and cook feature is very convenient.
My mom used to use a pressure cooker but it was never this easy looking. I would love to be able to have a meal cooked in 35 minutes.
love to try a great pot roast in this
Ooooooh!! I would have a lot more time with my family!! So much quicker, and it being digital? Love it!!
I like that it is digital and push button.
I have been so wanting one of these, you won’t believe this but I want to make dog food in it.
I like the article that gave details about the pressure cooker and how to use it.
This is something my husband has on his wishlist. I like that they have perfected pressure cookers so that you don’t have to worry about them exploding. (Oh the stories my late mother-in-law used to tell!).
I appreciate your fessing up to some trial & error – makes me feel better about giving the pressure cooker a try.
I want this pressure cooker so BAD! I love my crock pots too, but these cook so much better in my opinion!
Never thought of a pressure cooker as a baked beans machine but you’ve sold me.
I am a big fan of the pressure cooker. We have had one for years. This Power Pressure Cooker XL is the “cadillac” of all pressure cookers! I am really impressed with the one-touch technology- all you have to do is press one of the pre-set buttons and you are good to go. I am looking forward to trying this product.
I like the pre-set buttons for cooking! My pressure cooker doesn’t have that so I’m always having to guess on how long to cook!
We entertain a lot.. this would be the perfect thing for our company – we would save a ton of time!
Electric Pressure Cooker? What could be better in the kitchen? Nothing!
So 70% faster than conventional ovens…that’s amazing.
I really like how easy the pressure cooker is to use. It would be great to be able to save time cooking and spend it with my family instead.
I love the idea of one touch cooking, fast cooking, and little clean up. I also like that you’d get a slow cooker taste with a much faster cooking time. I would absolutely read the whole manual before I attempted anything because I’ve never used a pressure cooker before and I’d be afraid It’d blow up if I didn’t 🙂
My Mom had an old pressure cooker, and while everything came out delicious, I always thought it was too much of a pain. It would be nice because this one looks so easy! This is definitely on my wish list!
I love the One-Touch Technology and how quick you can make meals in the Power Pressure Cooker XL. It looks like a great way to make complete meals even on a busy day.
I like that all you have to do is press one button to pick a preset cooking option!
I think the time savings would be the thing I’d like best. I have heard and I can see this being true for me, that not being able to “mess” with the food, you know, stir, taste, add this or that, can be irritating.
The fact it is a one button and it is timed for you is wonderful. I remember my mother using one that had a round pressure valve that would jiggle on the top cover and scare me.
