The Evolution of the Vitamin and How We Take Them

It started with a lot of malnutrition. Before we knew what vitamins even were. I had never considered it before but it was a major scientific achievement when it was discovered that we could isolate “vital amines” and ingest them for our health. But it wasn’t until recently that because of the evolution of the vitamin we could truly optimize how our body uses supplemental “vitamins” with MicroLingual® technology that delivers the nutrients right into your bloodstream.

New Year Resolutions

Evolution of the Vitamin

Getting fit and staying healthy looks different for everyone. One thing we can all agree on though is that it is important to help keep your and your family healthy with the right supplements. I learned that up to 50% of a traditional vitamin’s potency is lost in my stomach acid! It is true! So why am I paying good money for supposedly high-quality supplements if half of what they contain isn’t even used? This is why I love Superior Source. Their MicroLingual® delivery system makes tiny tablets that dissolve under my tongue. The tablets disappear, and my body absorbs the nutrients right into my bloodstream.

The Evolution of the Vitamin

Evolution of the Vitamin

Vitamins started as large yeast tablets, eventually turning into smaller tablets and capsules we could take. Chewable vitamins, specially made in tasty flavors for kids, didn’t appear until 1968. And nothing else changed for decades. Until sublingual supplements came along. By letting the vitamins skip the stomach, nothing is lost to the acid. I also love that these vitamins have zero fillers. They are GMO-free and sugar-free. But my kids will still take them because they are slightly sweet from the natural stevia.

Keeping the Family Happy and Healthy

Evolution of the Vitamin

I take a zinc Lozenjet daily to help keep my immune system strong and fight off any winter bugs. Vitamin K supports normal blood clotting and the formation of prothrombin. When I need a boost of energy I can take one of the teeny tiny “no-shot” B12 to get me through the mid-afternoon slump. D3 works with calcium, supports the immune system, and helps the brain and nervous system. It is also great for the winter blues, helping my mood.

Sleep is Key

Evolution of the Vitamin

I don’t sleep well. I don’t fall asleep easily usually. Luckily I have Superior Source Melatonin. 5mg in a single tablet under the tongue is all it takes to make me sufficiently sleepy so I can fall asleep quickly. I have also found that my kids sleep through the night better, and with fewer nightmares when they take melatonin before bed. And it just dissolves away in no time. I love that my kids can take it without the risk of choking as well.

Just for You

Evolution of the Vitamin

I love these supplements, truly. I have them on auto-ship every other month as I need them.  Luckily for you, our readers, Superior Source has some great deals just for you right now. Try the calming formula when things are stressful or you need a good night’s sleep. L-Theanine is a great regulator of moods and boosts concentration and focus. They also have a wonderful Collagen supplement to support your hair, skin, plus muscles and ligaments. Try one or try them all! I know I will. You can find affordable Superior Source Supplements at iHerb and Lucky Vitamins as well.

Don’t forget to PIN it

Because of the evolution of the vitamin we can truly optimize how our body uses supplemental "vitamins" with MicroLingual® technology.

  1. I take these vitamins and I do like under the tonge instead of swallowing. But I do have to say a couple of them don’t really taste but its quick and they are gone.

I need to check “no-shot” B12 I start to drag in the afternoon
