Yummy Strawberry Santas
Here’s a fun, tasty and easy holiday treat to put together Strawberry Santas! Who wouldn’t love strawberries filled with whipped cream? We’re also sharing some options like a cream cheese filling and a few other yummy ideas!
So confession time although it’s not a secret as I’ve mentioned it before but I’m not particularly crafty or the best at decorating desserts etc.. My piping of frosting for example is basic but I get by and I’m all about the taste so if it tastes delicious I’m happy.

Do you have to use whipping cream?
No you don’t but it’s a nice and light tasting treat. However, for a richer filling you can do a cream cheese frosting as the filling instead of the whipping cream. Our cream cheese frosting on our cinnamon rolls recipe is a tasty alternative. You can also use a stabilized whipping cream with cream cheese, at least that’s our favourite way to make stabilized whipping cream.

Tips for making the whipping cream for the Strawberry Santas
- Use a fine caster sugar this helps to make the whipping cream smooth.
- I like to chill my mixing bowl and the whisk attachment first so put them in the freezer 10-15 minutes before you start or an hour beforehand if putting in the fridge.
- Use a heavy cream, I always get a 33% fat content whipping cream
- Make the whipping cream as stiff as possible without turning it to butter lol
- I chill the whipping cream some more after if I have time before placing it into a piping bag
- Use a small icing tip or have a smaller slit in your piping bag because your strawberry surface is not going to be very big.
Options for the strawberry santas “eyes”
- While we coloured a small portion of the whipping cream black you can use any of the following:
- Chocolate Icing Pen
- Small chocolate bits or chocolate chips
- Gel Icing Pen
- Chocolate Sprinkles
“Dry” the strawberries after cutting them by using a paper towel and soaking up any extra juices. This will help with keeping the whipping cream from sliding off the strawberry.
Remember Strawberry Santas are so easy to to put together that it’s a fun one to get your kids involved in assembling them and decorating them. Of course their reward is they get to eat them too. In my opinion there’s nothing like homemade whipping cream. I never buy the stuff in a can because it’s so easy to make and there is no comparing the taste to homemade.
Just look at how adorable these Strawberry Santas are? They don’t last not just because they’re made of fresh fruit and whipping cream but because they are so yummy.
Let’s get to this Strawberry Santas recipe shall we?
Strawberry Santas Recipe

Hurray for an easy holiday dessert - say hello these cute and yummy Strawberry Santas! It only has 4 ingredients and is super easy to make.
Instructions
Whip the cream with your stand mixer (or handheld up to you)
while gradually adding the sugar. Whip till you get very stiff peaks. Take
about 2 tbsp of it in a small bowl and add the black food colour and mix well.
Cut the leaf part of the strawberry and make a cut at the center, which will leave you with two pieces of strawberry to work with. (The
large portion will work as a base and the conical portion will work as the top)
Fill up the piping bag with the whipped cream and cut out a small portion from the top to frost the strawberries or use a small icing tip.
Take the base of the strawberry and add some whipping cream
on it. Put back the other half of the strawberry on top and add a tiny bit of
frosting on the top portion, resembling the hat.
Make two dots in the center with black frosting using a toothpick, creating the eyes.
Refrigerate for at least an hour.
Enjoy!

Oh these are so cute, and sound delicious, too. I always whip my own cream. I don’t have a pastry bag, but using a small zip-lock bag works fine for me, I can cut the slit to the size I need.
