As an animal lover I also volunteer with a rescue organization called Three Little Pitties All Breed Rescue. I'm part of the cat program Three Little Kitties Saving Kitties which tries to save as many cats as possible in Houston, Texas which has a huge overpopulation fo cats and they euthanize far too many cats (and dogs) we want to change that. 1. I use vinegar and water, baking soda. I like the ginger and Orange peels suggestion from other commenter! Sometimes I use simple green.

  2. love the smell of bleach & cleaners so I’ve been transitioning away from chemicals as the paycheck allows.
    – no more windex for me – I use the norwex towels now.

  3. Lemon juice and vinegar with hot water will clean a lot of things. I put a bowl of lemon water in the microwave and run it for 2 or 3 minutes. The mess will literally wipe off with a cloth or paper towel, no scrubbing!

  5. I don’t have time to write out recipes (but you can find most/ MANY great “recipes” for natural cleaners on Pinterest or Googling. ~ but here are the raw ingredients I always have on hand:

Baking Soda, White (distilled) Vinegar, Lemons/Lemon Juice, Castile and or Ivory (bar) Soap, Olive Oil, Newspapers, Essential Oils (like Peppermint, Orange, Lemon, Lemongrass, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree ~ for both their pleasant scents and their germ/bacteria killing properties!)

(Borax can also be useful ~ but may not pass muster!)

  6. I usually use a damp rag to clean things in my house and that works unless I come across some dirt that I cannot get off, then I use some kind of soap or spray but I try to avoid it most times

  11. I know vinegar and baking soda together make a chemical reaction so it’s not really “chemical free” cleaning, but it’s as chemical free as I get.

  12. One of my friends just gave me a steam mop, The handle is broke so they bought a new one, but as I only use it a few times a year because of the weight it works for me.

  13. I have an old Steam Mop that doesn’t work well at all, it doesn’t have a Push Button for the Steam and I have to go over and over and over and over the spots that I need to clean, so it is not worth using and it stays in the closet, and I use a Bucket and a regular Mop with Chemicals, I would love to try this new Mop!

    Thanks for the Giveaway!
