Powered by Mom Shares Stars on Ice 25th Anniversary Show #JergensOnIce
We were lucky enough to be invited to the Stars on Ice 25th anniversary show on May 21, 2015 in Vancouver at Roger’s Arena AND we got to meet the skaters at an after-show reception! Look for the pictures we got with the Stars on Ice Crew at the bottom of this article and for the full photo album GO HERE. Last year (2014) was the first time we had ever attended a Stars on Ice show and because of the pure awesomeness of last year’s show were so excited to attend that we were counting down the days. My daughter in particular was really excited as this is one of few events we attend throughout the year where she can invite some of her closest friends, so we tend to make it a teen night out for the girls.
Before I start gushing about the show (because yes that’s how much we love it) I should let you know who all is in the show, you can see a full list of the cast HERE it’s an amazing cast of Olympians and World Champions. However below are our top 3, although we love them all!
Kurt Browning (our family’s favorite skater)
4x World Champion
4x Canadian Champion
Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir
Olympic Gold Medallists
2x World Champions
6x Canadian Dance Champions
2x Olympic Silver Medallist
3x World Champion
7x Canadian Champion
Jergens Canada and Lindt have once again brought us an amazing Investors Group Stars On Ice. It’s beyond entertaining, the choreography, the skill, the artistic talent and the sheer athleticism of the skaters mesmerizes you. They had something for all ages from fun pop and rock songs to the classics. I watched my daughter, her 13 year old friends and her 9 year old cousin throughout the show and they were mesmerized, there’s no other way to put it.
Watching the “Stars” skate like Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford Olympic Silver Medallists & World Champions captured their attention, minds and imaginations! They watch in awe as they did jumps, throws and more.
As usual though Kurt Browning was not only our favourite but a crowd favourite as he knows how to entertain and does it brilliantly through his routines.
Each act was so different from the last but none of the disappointed the audience. Just look at their faces below, they were excited to be at this show and were enjoying. My daughter is the one with the elephant jacket 🙂
This year my husband was not able to make it so it truly was a girls’ night out as one of my closest friends came with her 9 year old daughter, they are family as she’s considered my daughter’s aunt and the girls are cousins. I think it says a lot about a show that can entertain an audience from toddlers up to any age, especially teenagers, they’re not easy to impress you know 😉
A favourite just like last year is when all the male skaters do a routine together. Like last year it was funny, sassy and just good fun. It had the girls and the whole audience as they skated, slapped a little butt and definitely kicked butt on the ice.

Not only did the girls have an amazing time at the show they also got meet the skaters after the show at a reception, they were practically giddy with excitement! For the reception I as the girls’ photographer however, I was in one picture, the same as last year with my favourite skater Kurt Browning!
The girls were able to get autographs from all the skaters and pictures with them too! Here’s a few of my favourite pictures
Vancouver is always the last stop of the Stars on Ice tour in Canada but if you get a chance to go next year it’s totally worth it! It’s now the thing we look forward to every year!
