Ride Together with Scooters for the Whole Family
Most days when my kids want to go ride their scooters I just end up sitting on the hard concrete front steps. Watching them trade-off the one scooter, riding up and down the sidewalk for an hour or two. Now, not only do my kids each have their very own scooter but I have one for me as well! Thanks to Swagtron, we can all join the cool teenagers doing skateboard tricks and riding BMX bikes and ride together, getting exercise, and having fun.
Swagtron Scooters are featured on our 2020 Holiday Gift Guide for Kids and Teens! Go see what else we have.

Get them Started Young
The K5 Three-Wheel Scooter for Kids is perfect for my 4-year-old. There are two wheels in the front giving it a wider base. There are actually two wheels right next to each other in the back, giving the scooter better mobility but also, again, a wider base.
My daughter can ride around on it all day. I love how it helps her build up her balance skills in a safe way. Plus, the scooter itself is scratch-resistant for the inevitable spills and rough treatment. Swagtron has balance bikes and trikes as well for kids as young as 2! And it is shown that kids who start with balance bikes learn to ride a real bike much easier later in life.
Kids Grow Fast, These Scooters do too
Even the little K5 scooter will last my daughter for years to come. It supports up to 100 pounds and the handlebar height can be adjusted. We currently have it no the lowest setting, and it can be raised another 3 notches quickly and easily. And trust me, light-up wheels never go out of style. The handlebars have good rubbery grips and the brake over the back wheel(s) is wide and easy to use. My daughter has determined that the perfect pink color and logo patterns and designs are definitely “cool”.
Up the Challenge Factor
For kids who want a bit more of a challenge, try the K1 Kick Scooter. The single front wheel is slightly larger than the single back wheel and my son loves the bright blue/teal color. It supports up to 220 pounds and accommodates riders 40″ to 72″ tall. I could ride this scooter!
My son loves how it is nice and lightweight, so it is easy to carry or move around. He also loves to fold it down for storage when he is done riding for the day. The kickstand seems to be a bit off though. It seems too long and the scooter just falls over when we try to prop it up. You have to balance it very carefully.
Riding Together with Scooters for Adults
Why let the kids have all the fun. Now when the kids pull out their scooters on a nice day, I can join them on the K8 Titan Folding Kick Scooter. It has an insanely smooth ride, even when I nervously hit a bump in the sidewalk. Yes, I was terrified I was going to fall and break my wrist or something. Ha! But it is easy to control and it isn’t as difficult to balance as I thought it might be. it has been a long time since I went for a bike ride. The low center of gravity makes it super simple to ride. The kids love to “cling” my bell and I love that it weighs less than 10 pounds and folds down for easy compact storage.
Fun Exercise and a Great Gift
As we ride together as a family we all get some good exercise. Being kick scooters they take some leg power to get moving. And I know it gets my heart going! As I rode mine I kept thinking about how nice this would have been in college. My campus wasn’t big, but it would have made getting from class to class much more fun and it would have folded away during class time. And I see how much fun my kids have riding their scooters. They can spend a couple of hours playing outside easily, away from their screens. It’s great!
These photos are terrific. I do love all the colors of these modern scooters. I think it is a great idea to have Family Scooters for a lot of fun!
I love they have something for every size/age. A fun day out for the family to scooter together around the park
