Read Your Story Custom Story Books and Posters

I loved reading while growing up and still do to this day. I feel a love of reading is truly a gift in the digital age. My oldest is a strong reader and goes through books like ice cream. Fast. Read Your Story allows you to create customized books for your children, no matter the age or reading level. All three of my kids LOVE reading their customized books with their photos and names!

All three enjoying their new books!

ABCs With Me Book

Read Your Story

ABCs with Me Read Your Story is their book aimed at younger kids 0-3 years old. It goes through the whole alphabet with unique words for each letter. Not your average “C is for Cat.” This award-winning book features gorgeous illustrations from a popular children’s book illustrator. It is 30 pages long and is an 8.5″x8.5″ size which is great for little hands. It is not a board book, but the paper is thick and sturdy and has so far held up well throug2-year-olds olds use.

Read Your Story

Not every page features a face photo, but a lot do! I also love that many of the illustrations have multiple objects in them that start with the featured letter, so you can talk about the pictures as well as read the book. My original photo for this and one other book were initially pulled from the internet. After I submitted my order I almost instantly got an email saying that the images may be too low-quality to look good when printed. I loved that they worked with me right away and I got them high-resolution images. Because I sent these via email I did not get to line up the photo in the face alignment on their website to preview the book. I was a little nervous, but they did an excellent job! The face is lined up, the right size, and centered correctly.

A Monster Mess Book

Read Your Story

A Monster Mess [Your Child’s Name] Has a Big Adventure is geared towards the 3 to 8-year-olds. Both books are gender neutral and with this book, you can select the color of the kids’ room! This determines the color of the cover of the book and the illustrated walls throughout.

Read Your Story

The story revolves around a young child who cannot have a playdate until their room is cleaned up. So they go on an adventure with their trusty octopus sidekick to defeat the Lock Mess Monster. This monster made a huge mess of their room but not all is what it seems with the monster. They pick up their room and fight off the fuzzy busters. It is fun, entertaining, and has a good message (Clean up your darn room!) It is a bit longer, but the story keeps them interested throughout.

The Newborn Poster

Read Your Story

Sadly, my “baby” is more than 2 years old now. She’ll always be my baby but I love that Read Your Story has these posters. Printed on a thick, premium quality paper you can get it in a matte or velvet rag finish for the 20″x30″ poster. My kids each have two middle names which can be frustrating for lack of accommodation in most cases. I love that I got her full name on the poster, along with her height, weight, date, time, and place of birth. It’s amazing to see how tiny she was, though she is small still for her age. She is 2 so doesn’t totally understand but loves to look at it and say “Kiki baby!” What is so unique about this is the image of the baby is sized to the size she was. You can choose your orientation for the poster as well. I went with a horizontal layout but you can have it verticle as well.

Personalized Fun

Being able to personalize something that is so entertaining or looks great on a wall is an extra special touch. My kids already cherish their Read Your Story books and despite extensive use, have maintained them well enough to keep them as they grow up. I hope they look back in many years at their books with my custom dedications to each of them and remember their childhoods fondly. The poster represents a great visual of just where they started and how far they’ve come. These are incredibly high-quality products and their customer service is top notch. Beautifully written and very well done.

  3. Many years ago, I had personalized books made for my Daughter & she loved them. (different company of course) She is now grown with a Daughter of her own & these books would be perfect for my Granddaughter! I love that it uses a picture of the child to put them right into the story plot.
