RALLY ROAD RACERS
Zhi, a rookie race car driver, gets the opportunity to compete against the reigning champion of the rally car circuit. With help from a former driver-turned-mechanic, Zhi must overcome treacherous terrain, rival racers, and unexpected obstacles to prove he has what it takes to be the next great racer.
Written and directed by Ross Venokur (Charming), RALLY ROAD RACERS features the voices of Jimmy O. Yang (“Silicon Valley”), J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Chloe Bennet (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”), Lisa Lu (Crazy Rich Asians), Catherine Tate (Monster Family), and John Cleese (Trolls).
We had the opportunity to get a sneak peek of this movie and we invited some friends with younger children to come and enjoy it too. They LOVED it! I don’t want to spoil the movie for you all but there were lots of giggles, a few GASPS of surprises and anticipation and just overall fun.
Now as an adult if I’m watching a family movie I like it when it’s not just fun and games but that there’s a moral to the story if you will, something to learn from the story and/or get those young minds thinking. Rally Road Racers not only entertains but it does have that moral to the story if you will. Not giving up, it doesn’t matter who you are, follow your heart and your dreams. It’s not the size of the competitor that matters, it’s the size of the dream.
Viva Kids movies never fail to impress, they are always entertaining and you don’t have to worry about it being anything more than fun for kids to watch and learn a few things from in a good way of course. Adults (at least this adult) loves these movies and I always look forward to seeing what they come up with next.
Takeaways from Rally Road Racers is that it’s great clean fun, very entertaining, has a great moral to the story and that all ages can enjoy it. After all you’re never too old to enjoy a fun animated movie where you can giggle and gasp along with the kiddos.
Here’s one of my favorite clips from the movie. You can also watch the office trailer here: https://youtu.be/oRR2hvpmD4E
