Powered by Mom Enjoys Some Me Time With Netflix
It doesn’t matter if it summer or school is back, moms and well all women are just busy, busy and busy. Like most I don’t always make time for me and then it happens, mom burn out. So to avoid the mom burn out this summer I have been sneaking in some “me time”.
I’m not always sneaking in my “me time” but I do have to just make myself take it. Stop what work I’m doing and just take a break. Sometimes it’s taking a book and going out into our backyard and reading for a bit in the sunshine. Sometimes it’s going for a walk and one of my favourite ways is to enjoy some Netflix time. I got into a new Netflix show called Ozark starring Justin Batemen. I got hooked and watched the entire season already. If you haven’t seen it check it out, it’s not one for the kiddos though.
No matter how you’re getting your “me time” just make sure you’re getting some. It doesn’t have to be a long time but hey that’s okay too. I try to take at minimum a 30 minute break each day to just do something you enjoy, even if that’s a nap. Even 30 minutes can recharge you and keep you going for the rest of the day. Although I have to admit if I do stop to watch Netflix like I did with Ozark it was more than 30 minutes as each episode was about an hour.
You know what? I’m good with that and I don’t feel guilty at all! So take some time for yourself, you deserve it. What are some of your favourite things to do for a little “me time”? Feel free to share we’d love to hear from you.
