Powered by Mom Shares a Disney Tomorrowland Movie Review #Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is a movie that the WHOLE family can enjoy! I’m speaking from experience as we were lucky enough to go to a screening of this awesome movie that opened in theaters across the US and Canada on May 22, 2015. I went with my 13 year old daughter, her 9 year old cousin and her aunt and uncle and we all enjoyed it immensely.

Of course George Clooney is always amazing in my opinion but I know that my daughter and her cousin loved Britt Robertson. She’s someone they could identify with and look up to all at the same time. Her character is extremely intelligent, compassionate and curious, all good traits in our opinion.

Here’s a sneak peek at this fun movie

Tomorrowland Plot

Bound by a shared destiny, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory.

I know that’s a very short amount of information on this movie but I don’t want to spoil it for you. Here’s what I’ll say, there’s something for everyone, there’s some great inventions, ideas that spark your imagination of what the future can look like, there’s hope, there’s a struggle for good and of course there’s some heartwarming family moments.

George clooney

I know some parents would like to know the following:

  • There’s no profanity, if there was I seriously did not notice (if there are a couple you notice let me know but I did not hear any)
  • For very young children maybe they would find a few moments with the big machines scary – big maybe.
  • The scariest part is when the “humanoids” are after George Clooney and Britt Robertson where their faces get smushed in or robotic legs and arms cut off

Those are only things I can think of that I know some parents would like to know in advance. Tomorrowland was never boring, it was creative and heartwarming in my opinion. The biggest critic in our crowd would be my 13 year old as you know teens can either be non-commital or just hard to please but she loved the movie and is still talking about it over a week later!

  3. Its nice to see a movie that the whole family can enjoy. Now a days there is so much swearing, nudity etc. that you don’t even want to watch tv anymore. This would be great to go and see.

  6. This movie looks to be quite entertaining! I like that it celebrates a bright young girl and that it’s also kind of “magical”. Thank-you for the head-up on the arms legs getting “cut-off”. That might be a bit much for my toddler grandson. 🙂
