I love my active kids, but sometimes it can be tough to channel that energy into something productive and fun for them at the same time. Once I found the fun tutorials online from Wipeout Skate Gear I knew they were perfect for my kids. These creative activity ideas incorporate learning, art, and physical activity to keep my kids entertained for hours having fun.

Gear for All Kids

My youngest girl has been asking for her own skateboard for months. She may be a girly girl, but she loves to play hard too. My son was excited to pick out his very own skate gear as well. The sizing is fairly flexible and fits them both despite their size differences. And they each got to pick out their favorite colors for the decks, helmets, and pads. 

Safety First

Wipeout not only provides fun customizable skateboards for kids but easily bundled pads kits and helmets. The pads kits come with knee, elbow, and wrist guards. As much as my little girl has been begging for a skateboard she has been pleading for the safety gear too. Smart girl! The helmet fits snugly and securely. I found it was easy to adjust to each child. 

Art Time

This is what is great. The bottom of the skateboard deck, the helmet, and the hard portions of the pads can all be customized with the included dry-erase pens. My kids spend at least 30 solid minutes decking out their new gear. 

Stencils are included for fun designs. and nothing is stopping the free-form art designs to flow. Plus, Wipeout has an entire page dedicated to fun art tutorials that your kids can follow along with. Oh! And these dry erase markers have zero scents. No noxious fumes! And when they want a change, they simply wipe it off and start again.

Throw a Bit of Learning in There

Many of the art tutorials on their website incorporate letters and numbers as the starting point for fun animals and more. This lets my kids follow along and practice their handwriting, letters, and numbers. It is wonderful! Especially for my little girl starting kindergarten next fall. It’ makes practicing those things fun.

Solid Riding

The performance cruiser solid maple decks have a small kicktail at the back. With cast aluminum trucks and ABEC 5 Carbon Steel Bearings, it’s built like a great quality board made for kids. The wheels are 58mm/78A Urethane Wheels that allow for a smooth ride. The top of the deck is rough like an emery board on steroids. It grips so well I’m sure my kids’ feet are never going to slip. 

Staying Active

My kids love showing off their growing skateboarding skills. They feel secure even with the falls and bumps that inevitably happen with their safety gear on. On the nice days, they’ll spend hours skating around the driveway and up and down the sidewalk. It has been wonderful to get them out of the house some when it is warm enough. And they have fun! That’s the most important part. I have found the Wipeout is a great combination of creativity and activity for my kids.
