These Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites that are glazed with maple syrup and topped with sprigs of rosemary are not only an easy appetizer to make all year round but they are delicious and require only four ingredients!

If you’ve been following Powered by Mom for a while you know that we love chicken, it’s our favourite protein and add bacon to that and we figure you can’t go wrong. While this year looks different for the holidays we love to have delicious but oh so easy appetizer recipes on hand, preferably with ingredients we normally would have in our kitchen and these bacon-wrapped chicken bites meet all of these easy requirements. 

I also love rosemary and as I grow some in my garden which even now at the end of November (thank you milder winter weather Pacific Northwest) is still growing I will add it to recipes that I know will give it that extra bit of flavour to enhance the recipe, not overpower it. Combine that will brushing these bacon-wrapped chicken bites with maple syrup and we think this is a perfect (and easy) appetizer.

Only Four Ingredients

No, we’re not kidding when we say it’s only four ingredients for this tasty and oh so easy bacon wrapped chicken bites appetizer. You need the following four ingredients:

1. Chicken Breasts
2. Bacon
3. Maple Syrup
4. Fresh Rosemary (can substitute for dried)

You will also need the following:

• Toothpicks
• Cookie Sheet
• Parchment Paper
• Basting Brush (we prefer a silicone one)

These bacon-wrapped chicken bites are so easy to make that we don’t really have a lot of tips to share because they are oh so easy and quick to make. Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites

These Bacon Wrapped Chicken Bites are glazed with maple syrup and sprigs of rosemary are easy to make and oh so delicious.

Prep Time 20 minutes

Cook Time 40 minutes

Total Time 1 hour

Ingredients

• 2 large chicken breasts
• 1 package of bacon
• 3 tbsp of maple syrup
• 3-4 sprigs of fresh rosemary

Instructions

1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite sized pieces
2. Wrap a piece of bacon around each piece of chicken and secure with a toothpick
3. Place all rolls onto a parchment lined tray and brush with the maple syrup
4. Garnish with chopped fresh rosemary
5. You can also top with pepper to taste (optional)
6. Bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked and bacon is crispy

Notes

If you would like a slightly different flavour you can do the following:

Use maple infused bacon for a stronger maple taste

Use other types of bacon like pepper bacon, apple smoked and they will all have a slightly different flavour to them.

Is that it? Yes! It’s really that easy to make these scrumptious bacon-wrapped chicken bites! As mentioned on the recipe card you can do some slight variations to give subtle flavour changes like different types of bacon. I personally love using maple bacon even with the maple syrup as a glaze because I love maple syrup. I am a Canadian for sure but who doesn’t love maple syrup?! If you don’t love it, don’t tell me I just can’t imagine, kidding (not).

Seriously you can’t go wrong with bacon and chicken and maple syrup, it’s truly a heavenly combination but then again we’re totally biased when it comes to this recipe!

I think my mouth is watering right now and I might just have to make another batch of these tasty bacon-wrapped chicken bites. I know I have all of the ingredients, I always do when it comes to the four ingredients for this appetizer.
