It’s Time for Back to School with Staples
Staples is the place for all their school supplies and much more
When it comes time to get back to school shopping done for our teen daughter, Staples is where we go to get all of her school supplies. Sometimes we forget though that Staples is just more than school and office supplies. They have a great computer and tablet section, backpacks and they’re a great store to scope out gifts too. I’ve picked up specialty chocolates there too, in fact you can get gift baskets full of yummy chocolates at Staples. It’s easy to get distracted with everything they have to offer.
It’s no wonder we all like to go to our local Staples which lucky for us is only five minutes away from home. So we headed there just last week and you got it we stocked up on school supplies for my daughter.
For this upcoming school year she was given a list where it specified that for Math class she can only use one of a few models for exams so we had to make sure to pick up one of those models. Staples carried all of the ones on the list and she picked out the one she liked the best.
If you’ve been to Staples (and who hasn’t?) you know that they have every office and school supply you can think of. It’s all laid out nicely so everything is easy to find.
My daughter is a budding artist so when it comes to her pencils she’s very picky as to what she wants to use when it comes to her drawing. Fortunately Staples gives her options. Her and her dad above are looking over the pencils, they look so serious but hey a girl and her art right? 🙂
It seems every year we need to get more binders, fortunately Staples has binders galore in a rainbow of colours.
However, for this visit we were here for more than just school supplies. We had been keeping an eye out for a certain type of tech item that we hoped to find at a reasonable price. We noticed in our Staples flyer that they had a few of this kind of item on sale so we went to go and check the out in person.
So what was that item? My daughter needed a new monitor for her desktop computer. You can see her below scoping out the different monitors.
Of course she does homework on her computer, gaming (no surprise) and she also has her drawing tablet connected to her computer for her animated designs. She needed a decent monitor, but we needed one that was not going to make our wallets cry, was a decent size but not too big as her desk space area is not huge.
We found the perfect monitor for her. It’s a widescreen but it’s not so big it takes up a lot of her desk space, it’s a reliable brand and it was under a $100, so mom and dad are happy, we have a happy teen and now she has no excuse when it comes homework time. We will remind her of that once school starts haha.
Next time we go to Staples I’m hoping it’s some shopping for myself as mom needs a new laptop. For now though I just had to admire them from afar while going through laptop section at Staples. Don’t forget you can also get smartphones, iPads, other tablets, cases for them and other accessories at Staples too. It really is a one stop shop for so many things.

One of my favourite things about Staples is the fact that it has such a large range of product. I’m glad to hear that they carry product like the calculator that are specified by schools. I had no idea that Staples has a price guarantee. I’ll definitely be using the guarantee if I can.
I love the wide variety of products at Staples. I’ve always done the back-to-school shopping there, and even get specialty markers and pens for my artwork.
My daughter is 10 and we can get lost in staples for hours it seems like! Lol your right about them having everything you need! ! And so many varieties as well! I somehow always leave with something extra that i didn’t even know i needed. . Or wanted for that matter! Lol
One thing i did not know is that they price match! ! I will be paying much closer attention to my flyers when it comes to any stationary, art supplies or anything my daughter might need for school! !

We always hit up Staples for our back to school shopping needs and I also stock up on office supplies while the kids shop for their stuff! So much selection and great prices too.

so true about Staples being your one stop shopping store; I love notebooks/notepads/pencils/pens etc. and they have mega to choose from. I am into Adult coloring and the variety of pencils they have is fantastic.

I always feel overwhelmed walking into Staples so my husband normally picks up anything we need from there. I do like the idea of being able to pick up all my office/school needs in one stop though!
That is interesting that they are now price matching . I guess they needed to get on the bandwagon or fall off lol. I do like to get quality pencils and pens from there as well, most other stuff I have to dollar store it .

Staples is such a great store. Awesome for the kids school supplies, & we use Staples exclusively for our office products, everything from paper, pens, binders, envelopes, to cleaning products and yes, even candy. lol
I do my back to school shopping at Staples. I love that they have the supply list for each grade and everything is easy to find. The store is well laid out and there are always employees available to provide assistance. I also buy my office supplies at Staples as well as arts & crafts supplies. They offer a great variety of products that can keep kids occupied during travel. And last but not least, we find great birthday gifts as well as items for loot bags at Staples.

When I think Staples I think office and school supplies. But every time I go in there I buy more than just those things. I have gotten video game, and furniture. They have be come more of a one stop shop and its great. Their prices are good also.

We do about half of our school shopping at staples though it’s never the first place we go. It’s usually the place we go for the things we couldn’t find anywhere else and they always come through.

I was just in Staples the other day looking for school supplies with my daughter. I could spend forever in there!
I never realized monitors were so inexpensive. Good to know when I want to finally purchase one with the hard drive I already have. Also like the unique gift ideas they have at Christmas time.

I love shopping at Staples. Your post was a great reminder of the variety they carry. As well in one of your pics you show UHU glue sticks. I need to restock and prefer them. When shopping elsewhere this past week I was only finding another brand, so it is off to Staples.

I love that Staples has so much to offer beyond the basic school supply list. It’s always nice when we go there that my husband can keep himself busy in the tech section, or take our toddler to look at the “Crayola” type products for her, while I go through the school supply list with our eldest. And the prices are great too which I was pleasantly surprised by. I will have to look for the gift baskets with chocolate etc. that you mentioned next time I am there (this weekend!) – that is something I have never noticed before, but what a great idea for thank you gifts etc.
I have an artist at home as well and we get quite a bit of her supplies from Staples – hopefully they will start stocking copic markers soon 🙂 Our local Staples had a computer where we could print a list of all the local school supply lists by school and grade- made getting supplies easy peasy.

I always find the staff so helpful at Staples. They go out of their way to try and find what you are looking for. The monitor you got was a good price and that is another thing I like. They have a wide variety of brand name electronics in all price ranges.

While I was at Staples making photocopies, my daughter went looking around and found tons of school supplies. We ended up grabbing a lot of things that were on her list for back to school. Now we are ready for September.
Amazing that they have gifts, such as chocolate at stapeles …. Something I didn’t know was that they have Price Match Guarantee…so amazing and I had no idea! … I usually do staples first, and then pick up the things at wal-mart that are cheaper (via the flyer) now I can cut this step out!

Staples has always been my one stop shop for back to school starting in elementary through to now university and it’s never let me down. It has by far the best prices and the wide variety to get the job done and i’ve used it for more then just back to school its been a great place for electronics regardless of school use.

We are lucky enough to have a Staples across the street from us so we are always going there, especially during school. They also open early so when we have had printer troubles my son in university was able to run over and get his project printed off quick and easy.

I’m a big fan of staples, them and office depot usually do a special each year erasers for a nickel, folders a dime etc. I’ve seen teachers a few times shopping and I’ll grab a bunch and pay then give them to them.

My daughter is done school (for now), so I look for things to keep myself organized. I’m just starting to look for a replacement for my printer and I am hoping to find a deal at Staples with the Back To School promotions.
