  1. I take a hot, invigorating shower with sweet aromatic candles. Then I eat some ice cream & hopefully I've calmed down enough to enjoy it

  2. I have my own room in my house - My husband calls it my eBay room- I have a eBay store and I have lots of stuff in this room- plus my own tv w/cable.. This is the place I go to to try and de-stress. I can even shut the door and get away from everything.

  3. Tea and I lose myself in a good novel. The mystery format engages my mind and makes me keep track of the plot which pushes away thoughts of whatever the stressful encounters were during my day. Just like you read to kids before tucking them in, it is just as soothing for the parents

  4. Well I have 3 small children, so sometimes it is very tough for me to relax after a very stressful day. If it were up to me, I would take a nice hot bubble bath with a good book. But since I cannot always do this, I mainly just enjoy some peace and quiet when they finally go to sleep by reading a book in bed.

  5. If I'm having or have had a stressful day, I dig out my most favorite bath product(s) and then take a long, hot shower. Due to having very bad knees, I needed to have a permanent shower bench installed into my shower. It folds up out of the way if I don't need to use it, but on these bad days I flip it down and sit on it while letting the hot water flow over me. The stress seems to wash away. If after the shower I feel like I still need some more me-time, I'm happy to crawl into bed and take a little nap.

    I firmly advocate taking care of oneself. It's vital to our health on all levels; mental, emotional, and physical.

  6. You're probably going to laugh at me, but I hula hoop to destress. Makes me remember to have fun and gives me a physical release.

  7. I go for a long walk on the beach with my dog, I live right by the water. It is so calming to watch the waves roll in and smell the scent of the sea salt 🙂

  8. I cuddle with and talk with my soulmate/bff love of my life, husband Todd.
    I cuddle with my cat and cockatiel.
    I feed wildlife in our yard and our patio and watch/adore them and take pics of them.
    I pray and do self hypnosis.
    I sit in our massage chair for a 15 min session.

  9. In the summer, I go for a nice swim and so laps then go to stretching in the water..Love it!! In the winter, more of reading, or listening to soft Piano music....I can not sign up for Instagram as laptops cannot do that...

A wide variety of activities.....take a walk; crochet; read; play games on my tablet; nap; listen to my fave music (usually my all time fave legendary Canadian rock trio RUSH, but also a wide variety of genres); create new recipes and cook. My all time stress reliever is to simply sit quietly and observe nature in all its glory.

  11. A half hour of "alone time" is enough for me to de-stress... no noise, no people, no computer, nothing... Just silence.

  12. i usually go for a short brisk walk, not to much and it helps me get my blood flowing without being mad. I have a 20 year old that has left home once and is back again, so i go for alot of brisk walks,lol.

  13. When I need to de stress I either exercise, have a few minutes quiet time or just lay down and shut my eyes and pray for 15-20 minutes. I love Aveda products.
