About Powered by Mom

I’m Michelle aka Powered by Mom. I’m married with one daughter, my hubby was my high school sweetheart, our two dogs Nyx and Cleo and our cat Oliver. As you can see we’re a family of animal lovers. We love to travel when we can, try different food and activities all over the world and enjoy being together. My passions are writing, travelling, creating new recipes, encouraging people to adopt not shop and just to enjoy life while we can.

As an animal lover I also volunteer with a rescue organization called Three Little Pitties All Breed Rescue. I'm part of the cat program Three Little Kitties Saving Kitties which tries to save as many cats as possible in Houston, Texas which has a huge overpopulation fo cats and they euthanize far too many cats (and dogs) we want to change that. 2. It’s important to me to have soft tissues because I have sensitive skin, and I’m kind of a sap and cry over sad movies and books, so I prefer not to use something that resembles sand-paper! 😉

  3. It’s important to me because I have sensitive skin and little stuff irritates it especially hard facial tissues or regular tissues.

  4. My two sons have seasonal allergies and when they get sick on top of that, I don’t like adding on another problem from using rough tissues that chaff their nose and face. Soft tissues are important, and help them
    not feel miserable.

  6. Well — for me– I hate the rough tissue .. The soft tissue makes everything so much better. When the kids have a cold or runny nose, we stay clear of the rough stuff…

  7. I use soft tissue because I like it & so does my family! Other tissue feels like sandpaper or my husband’s face when he doesn’t shave for a couple of days! Soft is good!

  8. You don’t want to use anything but soft facial tissues on your face. You don’t want a sore nose or anything hard that can rub up against your eyes. The softer the better for me

  10. We need to have soft tissues because my SO has bad allergies and is constantly using them. Otherwise, his face would be so irritated.

  13. When I have a really bad cold and have to constantly blow my nose, a really soft tissue is so important because looking like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer just isn’t a good look for me. Besides that, I just don’t want to face the constant irritation of sandpaper on my already raw nose.

  16. When my allergies kick in, it seems like I am constantly blowing my nose. I have used some “inferior” tissues before that have actually rubbed my skin raw! I won’t make THAT mistake again!

If I don’t have soft tissues it irritates my eyes so much more

  28. Nothing feels worse, when your nose is sore and red from blowing it so much, than to use a tissue that feels like sandpaper. Tissues with lotion or aloe in them feel so much better. I have never used Scotties but would love the chance to.

  29. I have lived with nasal allergies all my life. I have a box in my kitchen, next to my chair in the living room, next to my bed, in my bathroom, in both cars, and pocket packs in every bag. So yeah if I get cheap and buy poor quality tissues my nose suffers.
